3 Benefits of Drinking Green Tea

Tea is a favorable drink for most people all over the world. Modern research has shown that  tea, and especially green tea is good for our health and it can prevent many illnesses and even serious ones. Tea is also believed to improve our happiness every day.


1. Antioxidants in green tea:

What makes tea healthy is difficult to find out with certainty but a major cause is believed to be the antioxidants it contains. Antioxidants protect the body's cells and the cells' DNA from certain groups of harmful substances. The most common antioxidants are vitamin C and E.

 

All kinds of tea contain powerful antioxidant phenolic compounds. The kind of tea that is best studied in this respect and high in antioxidants is green tea. Plain black tea only contains a small amount of antioxidants.


2. Tea prevents heart disease:

Cardiovascular disease is a scourge which in many cases occurs due to poor diet and lack of physical exercise. Studies suggest that tea, especially green tea helps prevent heart disease. Japanese women who drank five cups of green tea per day had half as many heart attacks per year.

 

A study found that men who drank black tea ended with 30% lower risk of heart attack. Several other studies have pointed the same thing, and other types of studies have produced theories about how the effect occurs. The antioxidants may exert a protective effect on the vessel wall while reducing the bad cholesterol. Other mechanisms ages vessel walls also looks to be curbed.


3. Tea increases the ability to concentrate:

Tea contains amino acid theanine. Tea is the only food besides a sponge containing the substance. Theanine counteract stress by stimulating the production of a neurotransmitter in the brain, according to several small studies. While there are studies that suggest that theanine improves concentration.
