3 Tips to be Safe Online

3 Tips to be Safe Online

In today’s digital world, we are connected almost non-stop by the use of a variety of electronic devices, from laptops and tablets to mobile phones and fitness bracelets. For that reason, online security should be a main concern for all of us. Following are ten useful, easy-to-use tips to avoid falling victim to cyber attacks or criminals.

First of all, I suggest you to use the common sense. You do not send emails to anyone in any other country because they want to do business with you. Your best friend did not leave on a journey to a remote country without informing you. Now he says that he desperately needs some money and, my answer, you have not won the lottery if you have not even employed.

1. Use multi-factor authentication for all online accounts

Do you need a credit and you do not have time to go to the bank? Try the real online credit. You have the money in your account in just a few minutes and you do not make any way to the bank.

This means that besides your password, you will need to enter a verification code that you will receive via email or SMS when you want to access your accounts. If a site noticed that someone is trying to enter your account from a new device, it will send you such a verification code to make sure you really are.

2.  Cover the laptop webcam

Hackers can access your laptop remotely and spy through it without you even realizing it. You can easily get rid of this risk with a piece of adhesive tape on the laptop webcam. Faceboook’s Mark Zuckerberg is said to do this.

3. Do not shop online or indulge in any bank transactions when you are connected to internet through public Wi-Fi networks.
