Eggs - Health Benefits

A fantastic way to give yourself a health boost is by eating more eggs. Eggs are an excellent source of choline and a good source of high-quality protein, vitamin B12, phosphorus and riboflavin. Eggs are high in cholesterol, but they dont adversely affect blood cholesterol. Eggs are packed with minerals such as iron, zinc and phosphorus, that are vital for our body. For women, due to menstruation they need plenty of iron, and not getting enough could leave them feeling tired, run down and grumpy. Eggs do not raise your risk of heart disease and may reduce the risk of Stroke.

Eggs also contain decent amounts of

  • Vitamin K
  • Vitamin B6
  • Calcium and Zinc.

 The white and yolk of an egg contains proteins, vitamins and minerals and yolk also containing cholesterol, fat soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids. A fresh egg will sink in water, a stale one will float.
